This year’s John Lewis Christmas campaign has now racked up a massive 1.8m views on YouTube since being uploaded by the retailer on November 9.
The ad, which features a lovestruck snowman embarking on an epic journey to buy gifts for his snowwoman girlfriend, was shot in New Zealand and directed by Dougal Wilson, who also shot last year’s John Lewis Christmas ad and the brand's Always A Woman execution, has also attracted around 10,000 “likes” on the video uploading channel.
This compares with the autumn advert under the Never Knowingly Undersold banner and featuring two characters from different eras. That has received nearly 0.5m views since mid September. (Click here to see the full John Lewis story).
