The value of sync music to the wider music industry is expected to form part of the evidence given by music business executives to the Culture Media and Sport Committee during its ongoing inquiry into Support for the Creative Industries.
The cross party committee has already invited written submissions from the music sector to gather evidence on everything from the impact of the Hargreaves Review to the Digital Economy Act. Around half a dozen senior execs, producers and managers, including Association of Independent Music CEO Alison Wenham, Stephen Budd Managment’s Stephen Budd and UK Music CEO Jo Dipple, are scheduled to give oral evidence to the cross party committee, chaired by John Whittingdale, on December 4.
