UK electronic duo Koven should win respect they deserve from German drinks brand Mast-Jaegermeister’s new multi-million pound TV campaign.
The commercial, which premiered on Monday, November 23, follows a group of late twentysomethings building a giant fire sculpture based on the herbal liqueur’s iconographic stag emblem.
The currently unsigned Koven are based in London and consist of instrumentalist Max Rowat and critically-acclaimed singer Katie Boyle.
They are part of a JägerMusic programme which supports nationwide tours and hosts stages at boutique festivals like Bestival and Boomtown – and recently mounted a show on an iceberg in the middle of the Greenland Sea by heavy rock band The Defiled.
The music for the Craft The Moment commercial was written by Koven member Max Rowat and arranged for orchestra and piano by Ivor Novello Award nominee Walter Mair at Angel Studios London.
“We have been working with Jaegermeister and their music manager Tom Carson since 2013,” says Rowat.
“He only invited four Jaeger-sponsored acts to submit music for this ad and we were delighted when Revere was chosen.
“It’s a great opportunity to get into film and TV, which is something we’ve always wanted to do.”
