Morrisons supermarket has gone upscale for the music in its Christmas ad by calling in an Oscar-nominated movie composer.

The new ad, created by DLKW Lowe and directed by Si and Ad through Academy, features a housewife preparing for Christmas dinner all soundtracked to a score by John Debney, who received his Academy Award nomination for his work on Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ. Debney, who has worked on the Spider Man franchise, has also composed music for the swashbuckler Cutthroat Island starring Geena Davis.
