The choice of Big Bad Wolf as the soundtrack to the latest iteration of Mother London’s You’re So Moneysupermarket campaign should provide a long overdue hit for American-Canadian DJ duo Armand Van Helden and A-Trak.
As the follow-up to their infectious floorfiller Barbra Steisand, the song surprisingly failed to make the Top 75 in 2011.
Now Big Bad Wolf lends its name to #Epicwolf, a breakdance masterclass devised by Michael Jackson’s choreographer Vince Paterson and starring New York hip hop legend Tony ‘Mr Wave’ Wesley as a body-popping security guard.
The commercial was created at agency Mother London by the same team behind the price comparison site’s most recent spots featuring a strutting elephant, a twerking office worker and a pole-dancing builder.
Like other iconic dance titles in this eye-catching series, Big Bad Wolf was licensed from Universal Globe.
“The breadth of our catalogue means we’ve been able to meet the varied requirements of the Moneysupermarket ads,” says Globe Head Of Rights Management Neil Mulford.
“Not many brands would go from classic funk and R’n’B through to future house within one campaign.”
