With two OBE-holders on the call sheet – actress Janet McTeer and composer Rachel Portman – M&S’ Christmas With Love must be the most decorated (and most dramatic?) spot of the year.
“Even though Mrs Claus is a heroic figure who flies a helicopter to deliver last minute presents, we didn’t want the film to suddenly turn into an action movie. There had to be a constant and compassionate voice throughout.”
