Around 50 senior music industry executives flew to Los Angeles to take part in what has become the largest UK sync licensing mission to the US.
Organised by the BPI, Music Publishers Association and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the four day event (April 29-May 2) saw companies such as Cooking Vinyl and Ministry of Sound work deals with a number of Hollywood media giants including CBS Television and Lionsgate.BPI director of independent members and international Chris Tams said sync deals can be a real launchpad for indie music companies.
UK Trade and Investment music specialist Phil Patterson said the mission offered UK companies the opportunity to meet with some of the world’s top music supervisors.
