Description: The Strangeloves were a mid-1960s studio band made up of three New York songwriters – including Richard Gottehrer who subsequently produced The McCoys’ Hang On Sloopy and debut albums by Blondie and The GoGos – whose handful of simplistic, drum heavy, ‘garage’ rock classics were later to have a profound impact on the CBGB’s generation of proto-punk rockers.
